Too busy?

POPPA can accommodate your schedule and match your desired level of involvement to provide rewarding experiences.

Think you don’t have any skills to offer?  You do.  Your experience as a NYC police officer and your desire to help your brother and sister officers are the foundation.  POPPA provides extensive free training to become a Peer Support Officer (PSO) and there is ongoing training to learn more, sharpen your skills, and work with other PSOs.

Whether active-duty or retired, you can volunteer with POPPA.

We have more than 300 PSOs.  Join us!

If you are a retired NYPD officer and reside in another state, you can still help.  We are always seeking to expand our ability to help retired NYPD through our network of PSOs across the country. It’s a great way to stay connected and help other officers navigate careers and retirement.  Please contact POPPA to find out more.

Don’t wait another day to find out how good it feels to help.
